In 2014, Jasmine began their creative business, Jasmine Tafoya Photo. Known for her warm, intuitive, and inclusive approach, Jasmine’s practice celebrates authenticity and connection while centering and uplifting queer voices through visual preservation. 

Jasmine’s work is collaborative in nature and is often supported by their wife & creative partner, Brit (they/them). Brit plays a central role in imagining, supporting, and caring for the business behind-the-scenes. Together, they approach each project with intention and deep care. 

Jasmine Indwell (they/she) is a queer, neurodivergent photographer rooted in Central Indiana.

Recent recognitions include being named a recipient of the 2025 Power Plant Grant Award and twice named Indy Star’s Best Wedding Photographer, as well as being featured in Ball State’s student press in a profile on queer photographers across Indiana.

Jasmine is also the founder of Seasonal Soul(s), an ongoing personal project that invites participants into a yearlong portrait journey in tandem with nature's four seasons exploring themes of growth, grief, and transformation.

Beyond client work, Jasmine Tafoya Photo gives back through mutual aid—raising funds for BIPOC and trans mental wellness funds, supporting abortion access, pints for palestine, and offering donated sessions for community initiatives.

They run a trades-of-service program that offers photography in exchange for skills, time, or labor and offer sliding scale mini sessions yearly. They also mentor and support other artists in building sustainable, values-led creative practices.

Jasmine Tafoya Photo is grounded in slow, affirming human-centered photography that prioritizes consent, celebration, & collaboration.

The intention is always to offer images that reflect people back to themselves in ways that feel honest and liberating, allowing folks to feel seen without pressure or performance. There is no right, or wrong, way to be in front of the camera. Just leaning into our philosophy of presence over perfection, and embracing the unique expression of life you bring to every moment of your existence.
