I’ve been wanting to highlight many of my Seasonal Soul(s) series – showing off seasons of folks’ lives, their presence, and desire to savor moments through visual preservation.
Ashley’s family began Seasonal Soul(s) knowing they were on the intending to welcome a new family member within the next year. They wanted their participation in this series to be able to hold onto the feeling of being a family of three, while honoring all the change that awaited them.
Today’s blog post will highlight their first session (traversing Turkey Run with their toddler, something they knew they’d have to do a smidge less during the upcoming season of life) and fourth session (taking their toddler and baby to their local favorite creek, a favorite way to get out of the house while staying close to home).

We began their four part series wandering around one of their favorite places to explore with their toddler.
Turkey Run State Park is a dreamy naturescape right here in the Midwest. Curiosity and wonder surrounded them in this space, as the tall rocky walls and abundant ferns transported us to another world (or at least another region).

A lil film frame of one of the silliest adventurers.

In our last session of the four part series, we stayed closer to home and explored a favorite creek near their home. Summer as their closing season felt serendipitous. Seeing them in full, glorious bloom with their family of four was truly precious.
