Intimate Downtown Indianapolis Summer Elopement

I’ve been toying with the idea of pulling some wedding favorites out of the archive to highlight on the blog. I knew just where to start - MJ & Sena’s gorgeous downtown Indianapolis summer elopement. This is one of my favorite elopement galleries– there are such vibes of luxury with this couple that is unmatched. They’re a classic and timeless couple that translated so easily in the final images.

The documentation of the celebration began at the most perfect luxury boutique hotel– the Bottleworks Hotel. An absolutely stunning venue full of history, as it was a former Coca-Coca Plant that has been intentionally designed and restored to showcase the Art Deco, Jazz, and Prohibition eras of its first fame. I have yet to see a hotel that is so beautiful and so central in Indianapolis– and, perhaps my favorite part, if you rent a room at the hotel, we are able to photograph in the room and around the hotel for free.

I cannot emphasize the beauty of this space being a getting ready room for you & yours. The rooms gave gorgeous light to Sena’s getting ready photos and their gift exchanges. Afterwards, the two took time for formal portraits around the hotel, enjoying the colorful tile, terrazzo, and each other.

These Nearlyweds knew how to make a departure and an entrance. In one of the most fun, photogenic, and perfectly historical elopement activities– MJ and Sena rented a historic car to cruise to their destinations. Indianapolis, a city that boasts the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and all of its glory, has plenty of historic and collectible car rental companies where you can be shuttled through your perfect wedding day itinerary in style.

First stop for these two? Popping champagne at Monument Circle!

Monument Circle is an Indianapolis staple. The two stopped by just as a couple to celebrate their nuptials together to celebrate before we headed off to join their loved ones.

Keeping with showcasing central Indianapolis, the next stop for the couple to meet up with their people was the Indiana World War Memorial. A free, classic, and grand space made of Indiana Limestone allowed the beauty and love for the two to shine in a few more portraits and snaps with their chosen attendees.

The couple were wed by and surrounded by their favorite people in a beautiful ceremony among the many steps at the memorial. Their day focused on the love they shared with the people who love to celebrate their love. <3

Warmly,
