FAQ
Where are you based out of? Do you travel for shoots or weddings?
I am based out of Indiana, USA. I have captured memories for people in Canada, New Orleans, Colorado, Chicago, &+. I am always excited at the possibility of travel, and happy to create custom quotes for destination weddings or shoots.
Do you require a deposit?
It is customary in this industry to have a deposit at the time of booking. This secures your time in my calendar and lets me work towards that day knowing I am dedicating my time and energy towards our session together. I am unable to hold a time or date until a deposit is made.
Where do we take the photos?
I have a handful of great spots to recommend. Just let me know what type of atmosphere and scenery you are more interested in. We can work together to research some beautiful locations and curate a plan that best suits you.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule a session with you?
If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date then have to move or cancel it, there will be no need for a new deposit if I am available on the new date. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable per contract.
What if the weather is bad?
There is an obvious threshold of what camera equipment can handle. I am more than happy to frolic through some light rain. If it’s a shoot that we can reschedule and the weather just really isn’t our pal, we will absolutely talk that out.
How do I book you?
I make it easy peasy! There’s a contact button on the top of my website that leads to an inquiry form. I’m so excited to hear from you and hear the story of what landed you in my inbox. I can hop on a phone call with you to answer any questions, and we can square away the deposit and contract.
What is your turnaround time?
While this answer can vary due to season, I find portrait sessions are delivered within 4-6 weeks and weddings are delivered within 8-12 weeks. I do provide previews within 72 hours of a session unless otherwise communicated.
Do you provide RAW images?
No, I don’t. My work as a whole is complete when I deliver a gallery. I do not provide RAW files at any time.
What do I wear on my shoot?
This is where we really lean into what feels most comfortable to you. My very favorite part of my job is knowing that I was able to show you an authentic version of yourself. Buying a new outfit you’ve never worn before, can sometimes be the best and worst thing. Make sure that whatever you’re choosing to wear, you feel comfortable in. You feel yourself in. It will feel more natural to you.
(But also, definitely treat yourself to the thing you’ve been dreaming of.)
